Tasos Bouras was born in 1952, in the small town of Kiparissia in the region of Messinia, Greece. In the late 1970s he settles in Switzerland for some years and begins his artistic journey. He returns to Greece, and in 1997 he has his first solo exhibition at Zygos Gallery, Athens. In 1999 he creates the U.T.M. (Underground Television Movement) with other artists, and shows both paintings and sculptures in video art installations. During this same period he also designs sets and costumes for theatre productions. In 2002 he has his second solo exhibition at Sigma Gallery, Athens. He has also taken part in various group exhibitions both in Athens and on the island of Mykonos. Tasos Bouras is a member of Chamber of Fine Arts of Greece.
